The location of this hotel is it's saving grace as July street is a fascinating walk in the old french quarters and it's many speakeasy bars.
This hotel only appeals to those interested in old western living, which is true to it's detail. The old wooden floors, windows and very quiet surroundings so take you away from the city.
The concierge was unhelpful to say the least to our needs, especially compared to the hotels we have stayed in the last week. He was very reluctant to assist with our restaurant reservation, which was unusual given their hospitality standards.
Stay for the vibes and Julu street.

Three small villas in a residential area of Shanghai.
Nice old fashioned room. Exactly what I was looking for.
Only topic of improvement, breakfast is long to be served.

This hotel is a gem in middle of Shanghai. Very charming and historic.! The wall is thin so I could hear someone is coughing the entire night… But the bed was comfy. Shower and sink area needs to be updated and cleaned professionally. Breakfast was sufficient and nice:)

The front desk staff is very enthusiastic and patient. They took the initiative to help with the luggage, which was very considerate. The breakfast was very rich and delicious. The room environment was elegant and comfortable. It was a very good experience and value for money.

The hotel is clean and tidy, with birds singing and flowers blooming in the morning. The room is elegantly decorated and has a sense of style. The front desk lady Xi's warm and thoughtful service makes people feel very comfortable. She created a feeling of home for me. Very nice house, the equipment is relatively old but it is comfortable to live in, the bed is very soft, the ventilation is fast, and the small attic can be ventilated by opening windows from north to south
